Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNew Orleans Smiles is seeking a qualified and caring CLINICAL LEAD for General Dentistry to join our growing team!The ideal candidate is dependable, positive, and enjoys working in a team-focused environment while providing excellent patient care.
The Dental Clinical Lead is responsible for supporting clinical performance, workflow efficiency, team leadership, and patient experience within the general dentistry department. This role helps ensure smooth daily operations, strong communication between doctors and team members, and high standards of patient care.
This position functions as a bridge between the doctors and the clinical team — helping maintain organization, accountability, and a positive team culture while ensuring an excellent experience for every patient.
This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical competence, organization, communication skills, and the ability to help guide and support the clinical team.

Responsibilities
- Dental Department Leadership: Support daily clinical operations and help maintain efficient patient flow.
- Clinical Workflow Coordination: Ensure operatories, instruments, and materials are organized and ready for patient care.
- Team Leadership & Support: Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting clinical team members.
- Quality of Care & Compliance: Maintain high standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical protocols.
- Communication & Team Alignment: Facilitate clear communication between doctors, assistants, hygienists, and administrative team members.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum 3–5 years dental assisting experience
- Expanded duties certification (as applicable to Louisiana regulations) preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and workflows
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused

- Ability to support and motivate team members
- Comfort working in a fast-paced dental environment
