Description
Speech-Language Pathologist Make a real impact supporting students from early childhood through high school as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a diverse population near Bronx, NY. Multiple contract opportunities are available, including a current full-time opening, a flexible part-time position (2–3 days per week based on your availability and caseload), and a maternity leave coverage assignment running approximately July through October. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with school teams, helping students with autism and varied communication needs (ages 5–21). Your expertise will make a difference through both individual and group speech therapy sessions, targeted interventions, and integrated technology like AAC devices. Qualifications & Preferred Experience: Valid SLP certification required Experience serving school-aged children across grades K–12 Familiarity with AAC devices (TouchChat, LAMP, Proloquo) highly valued Prior work with autism spectrum and special needs populations preferred Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Key Responsibilities: Provide daily individual and group speech-language therapy (approximately 10 sessions/day, serving students across K–12) Maintain accurate daily treatment notes Complete quarterly and annual progress reports and draft IEPs Perform monthly self-audits on treatment notes and attendance records Support students' communication needs with evidence-based practices and technology integration Scheduling & Assignment Details: Flexible work opportunities: Full-time and part-time (up to 30 hours/week) available Working hours: 8:30am–2:00pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break Caseload: Approximately 50 sessions, serving students ages 5–21, including those on the autism spectrum Your expertise and compassion will help foster student growth in communication and independence.
