A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a middle school setting in Schenectady, NY. This contract role focuses on supporting students in a self-contained classroom environment, catering to a diverse population with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to middle school students with diverse communication needs.
• Assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's unique requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to support student progress.
• Utilize teletherapy tools when necessary to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational regulations.
• Provide coverage for a maternity leave, ensuring continuity of care for students in the self-contained classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC or relevant licensure.
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with pediatric and healthcare populations.
• Familiarity with managing a variety of speech and language disorders, especially in middle school-aged children.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with teletherapy platforms is highly desirable.
