Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services within a dynamic school setting near the Costa Mesa area. This full-time, on-site assignment supports students in the San Juan Capistrano region and is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about making an impact during leaves of absence. The assignment begins in mid-October and mid-November (exact dates TBD) and runs until notified by the district. Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and active CA state Speech-Language Pathology license
- Previous experience as an SLP in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with comfort collaborating alongside teachers, staff, and families
- Flexible, organized, and able to manage caseloads across multiple schools if required
- Knowledge of IEP process and documentation best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students, supporting various age groups as assigned
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop targeted treatment plans
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, documenting progress and providing recommendations
- Work with educators and support teams to address students’ communication needs in academic settings
- Maintain accurate records per state and district requirements
