Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a vibrant preschool caseload near Puyallup, WA. This full-time position covers a maternity leave from August 31st through December 18th, offering you a meaningful chance to make a real difference in young children’s lives during a pivotal period in their development.
You’ll deliver on-site speech and language services to approximately 45 preschool-aged students, collaborating with educators and families to provide tailored interventions and track progress. Your expertise will not only foster communication skills but also inspire confidence in each child you serve.
Desired background and qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC) required
- Prior experience working in a school setting, ideally with preschool populations
- Strong understanding of school-based assessments, IEP development, and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Dedication to working on-site with students and multidisciplinary teams
Role responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech/language therapy services
- Conduct assessments and create treatment plans in line with each student’s needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in partnership with staff and families
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and timely progress notes
- Serve as a supportive resource to staff and families regarding speech, language, and communication development
