Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support children in developing communication, language, social interaction, and functional skills.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with children, committed to providing high-quality care, and eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families within our community.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans for pediatric clients
- Support children in developing speech, language, communication, articulation, and social interaction skills
- Conduct therapy activities and track client progress under the supervision of the supervising SLP
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive therapy environment during sessions
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home and school
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and therapy goals
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate on treatment planning and patient care strategies
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric speech-language pathology and early intervention
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field required
- Active SLPA licensure/certification in accordance with state requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly in a pediatric or therapeutic setting, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language development, and early intervention strategies
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based therapy services is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Passion for helping children achieve developmental and communication goals
