Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, communication, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate seamlessly with fellow physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to craft holistic care plans.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond sessions.
Take part in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the patient journey.
Ensure precise and timely documentation while adhering to state and federal regulations and organizational policies.
Engage in lifelong learning and stay abreast of innovations within the sector through continued education and collaboration with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certified status is pending.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Strong command of evidence-based methods to treat patients of all ages, coupled with a firm grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
