Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver personal speech therapy sessions concentrated on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to form cohesive care plans.
Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
Assist with infrequent inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
Document patient progress accurately and promptly in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Remain engaged with advancements within the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, alongside a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, their families, and various healthcare teams.
Capacity to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong analytical thinking and clinical problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and compliance with documentation requirements.
