Educate patients and their families to encourage continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy insights and interventions to maintain continuity throughout the patient's healing journey. Ensure accurate and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain engaged with ongoing professional development and current advancements in the field. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of hire. Expertise in research-supported treatment methods applicable across all age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Skilled in tailoring therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
