Description
Speech Language Pathologist - SLP Specialist Ignite Communication and Empower Lives in the Scenic Landscapes of New York – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us Imagine a role where your expertise not only addresses communication and swallowing disorders but also breathes life into the aspirations of countless individuals. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of New York's charming communities, you will have the privilege of unlocking potential, restoring self-assurance, and fostering meaningful connections among people from all walks of life — from toddlers mastering their first phrases to elderly individuals striving for greater autonomy. This position offers a remarkable chance to work with diverse populations in a setting that balances outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your interests lie in pediatric speech development, adult neurological communication challenges, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, this is the place for you to find both passion and flexibility. Conduct comprehensive evaluations on patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft individualized treatment plans targeting short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Administer one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive and holistic care strategies. Educate patients and their families to encourage continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy insights and interventions to maintain continuity throughout the patient's healing journey. Ensure accurate and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain engaged with ongoing professional development and current advancements in the field. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of hire. Expertise in research-supported treatment methods applicable across all age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Skilled in tailoring therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities. Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and meeting documentation standards. Attractive compensation based on experience. Flexible work scheduling promoting a healthy work-life balance with diverse caseloads. Chance to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric fields. Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options. Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities. A collaborative workplace culture that emphasizes high-quality care and ongoing development. In this position, you won't merely offer speech therapy — you'll immerse yourself in a community-oriented mission aimed at transforming lives, cultivating communication, and creating moments of joy through genuine human understanding. You'll join a team that values camaraderie, operating in an environment that celebrates cooperation over competition. Each patient arrives with their unique narrative, and we trust you to help craft their story as you work together. The lifestyle here is infused with a distinct rhythm, seamlessly weaving together the vibrancy of urban life with the allure of lush parks and rivers. This region is a playground for those who cherish a diverse mix of culture, opportunity, and breathtaking natural beauty. For professionals, the advantages extend far beyond leisure — a favorable tax environment coupled with a growing healthcare industry creates a fertile ground for advancing your career. Wherever you are in your professional journey, this dynamic community offers abundant room for personal growth and professional development. We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist whose passion transcends measures and outcomes — someone who envisions vibrant futures for every child and holds steadfast determination for every adult in need. You might be eager to deepen your pediatric expertise or be a neuro-focused clinician aiming to explore early intervention strategies. Whether your specialization is niche or broad, if you're ready to serve wholeheartedly and lead with expertise, we are excited to welcome you to our team. If you understand that speech goes beyond mere sound, and therapy surpasses clinical routines—if you believe in trust as a foundation for success and in the joy of every moment spent communicating—this role may very well mark the next captivating chapter in your professional narrative. Join us in a community that cherishes the essence of communication, sophisticated connection, and the bravery it takes to embark on new beginnings. Apply now to lend your voice to our cause — and assist others in discovering theirs.
