Responsibilities Our School Based Speech Language Pathologists serve students with various communication, feeding, and/or developmental challenges, ranging in age from 3-21 years old. Implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to be shared with the school and/or supervisors, as mandated in the student's Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Consults with other professionals (Teachers, OT, PT, PCP, etc.) on the student's treatment team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive therapy team. Assesses and documents each student's progress through formal and informal tests and measurements. Writes and prepares annual review reports and goals for each student in accordance with their IEP dates and requirements, in order to remain in compliance with state guidelines. Attends all school related meetings as scheduled, such as, but not limited to, Triennials, Annual Reviews, Domains, Referrals, IEP, and pre-IEP meetings for each individual student. Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled school-based speech language pathology intervention relative to the client's level of function within the school environment. This includes, but is not limited to the following areas: expressive and receptive language skills, feeding, and overall communication and/or need for augmentative communication devices. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow in select markets. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice. CPR certification. ISBE Professional Educator License. Clinical experience with the pediatric population preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Effective leadership and client relationship skills. Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems. Maintains professional attitudes and respect for the school and their staff. Treats all students with dignity, compassion, empathy and respect. Effective organizational skills to manage high volume caseloads. Posted Salary Range USD $52.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr. Bonus USD $3,000.00
