Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Formulate tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individual speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive care and treatment strategies. Educate patients and their families on how to support progress beyond the clinical settings. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to guarantee a seamless continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per the state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Continually upgrade your knowledge by engaging in continuing education and collaborative peer learning. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Essential Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental, acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills beneficial for engaging with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
