Description
Lee Health is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across our Southwest Florida health system. In this role, you’ll provide evidence-based therapy, develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team in hospitals and outpatient settings. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Provide direct speech, language, voice, and swallowing therapy to diverse patient populations
Document assessments, goals, progress notes, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab therapists, and care teams to coordinate care
Conduct dysphagia assessments and make safe diet/feeding recommendations
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and best-practice initiatives
Mentor students or new clinicians as appropriate
Speech and language assessment

Dysphagia evaluation and management
Evidence-based treatment planning
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Cognitive-communication rehabilitation
Pediatric and/or adult speech therapy
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
Interdisciplinary care coordination

Current state Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
