- Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract
Description
Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist supporting an acute care and inpatient rehab unit in Kansas City, MO. Provide evaluations and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders, perform bedside swallow evaluations, and support both acute and 26-bed inpatient rehabilitation caseloads in a level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke facility. Use Meditech for documentation and TIMS equipment as available. Gray scrubs are the required uniform.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active Missouri state SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations; experience with video swallowing assessments preferred.
- Experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke care environments.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
- Experience using TIMS equipment.
- Willingness to work rotating weekends as preferred by the unit.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800–1700.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred.
- Floating requirement: cover both acute care and inpatient rehab units.
- On-call: none.
