Local clinical resources include a comprehensive stroke center, Level II trauma services, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, supporting a varied caseload and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Active North Carolina state SLP license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience providing SLP services in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, instrumental assessments (FEES or MBS) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with stroke, neurological, and critical care populations preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and hospital documentation standards preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00–18:00.
• Schedule includes weekend rotation.
• Shift length typically 7–10 hours per shift.
