Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
• Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia assessments
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and professional practice guidelines

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in South Carolina
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Speech Language Pathology experience
• Current BLS Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
