The role follows a 5x8 day schedule with alternating weekend coverage. This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established community hospital. The average daily census is 15 patients with a focus on adults and geriatrics. The patient diagnoses include stroke and infectious respiratory disease. Call is required with weekend coverage on alternating weekends. The documentation system used is Meditech Expanse. Provider support includes interpretation services and respiratory services. The position requires competency in assessing and treating dysphagia. The candidate will also conduct modified barium swallow studies and interpret the results. The role includes patient and family education on dysphagia management. Signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse must be recognized. The ideal candidate will have experience in a community hospital setting. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care.
