About the PositionJoin our team as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist in Bakersfield, CA at a hospital setting. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehabilitation environment. This role requires professional collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and documentation that meets facility and regulatory standards. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent clinical experience.
- Active California state SLP license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Ability to provide weekend coverage 1–2 times per month as required by the facility.
- Facility requires 30 day notice for onboarding and a current resume for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental assessments.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary team rounds and discharge planning in inpatient rehab.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Schedule includes Monday–Friday with weekend coverage 1–2 times per month.
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting.
