About the PositionJoin a travel Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity in Bishop, CA at a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic. Provide evaluation and treatment for pediatric and adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The role emphasizes outpatient care with occasional inpatient support and requires independent performance of adult Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). Respondents will be asked to float to acute care as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Current California SLP license.
- Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for adults independently.
- Pediatric and adult outpatient experience.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Willingness to float to acute care units as needed.
- Employer will consider clinicians with a pending state license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Inpatient/acute care experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800-1830.
- One weekend per month on call, approximately 0700-0900.
- Primarily outpatient setting; approximately 60–70% pediatrics and 30–40% adults.
- Approximately one outpatient MBSS per week.
- Float to acute care for inpatient evaluations as needed.

Provide high-quality SLP services across outpatient and occasional inpatient settings. Treat a broad pediatric caseload and adult neurogenic diagnoses, including post-stroke patients. Support continuity of care by performing instrumental swallowing assessments and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
