Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Stockton, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders
• Conduct thorough evaluations and document findings clearly and promptly in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapy and adjust treatment based on patient progress and goals
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and care plans
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Education

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Comfort working in medical and institutional healthcare environments
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently
• Competence in applying evidence-based practice and outcome measurement

• Master's or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for clinical SLP roles)
• State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or ability to obtain California licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or equivalent professional certification
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by facility
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across adult populations
• Ability to pass background checks and any facility-specific clearances
