We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute care assignment in Northridge, CA. This is a hot order opportunity for candidates with strong inpatient and acute care experience.

The ideal candidate should have experience treating patients with neurological, trauma, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience with bedside swallow studies is required, while video swallowing study experience is preferred.

• Patient population includes stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma, cognitive impairments, swallowing difficulties, post-surgical, cardiac, and med-surg patients
• May work in inpatient, outpatient, or rehab settings based on facility needs
• Candidate may float to other assigned areas if required
• EMR System: Cerner PowerChart
• Rehab aides available for support

• Typical shifts are 8 hours with varying schedules depending on department needs
• Possible schedules may include Wednesday–Sunday or Thursday–Monday rotations
• Weekend requirements vary by assignment
• Orientation includes approximately 1.5 days of department-specific training

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Speech Therapy experience preferred
• Active California SLP License required
• BLS Certification required
• CCC-SLP Certification through ASHA required
• Acute care and trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Experience with bedside swallow studies required
