Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8 Hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech language pathology services in both inpatient (acute care) and outpatient settings within an acute care hospital environment
• Manage a hybrid caseload consisting primarily of acute hospital patients with approximately 1–3 adult outpatient cases per day
• Independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as required
• Evaluate and treat adult patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
• Float between facilities within the state as required by assignment needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist; must be able to practice independently
• Active California state SLP license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days (required prior to start)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient adult populations
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
• Experience working in a hybrid inpatient/outpatient therapy role
